Hippach - Zillertaler High Road
The best known attraction in Hippach is the Zillertaler High Road, one of the most beautiful Alpine roads in Austria. It offers a breathtaking journey up to a height of 2020m, and a distance of 25km from Hippach to Ried.
Flying in the Zillertal began in the Seventies, taking off from the High Road or Arbiskopf. Although, back then, there weren't any paragliders, just the very first hang gliders.
Flying in Hippach
From Arbiskopf we start our Mega Flight.
The Start Site lies at 2020m and offers a height difference of 1500m to the landing site. The flight time is about 18-25mins.
Another Take Off point can be found at the Nasenalm on Schwendberg at 1600m,
Transport to the take off point is either with taxi or the scheduled bus. Of course, you can also drive with your own vehicle up to the start site but please be aware of the extra cost for the road toll.
The Meeting Point, unless otherwise arranged, is in Hippach by "Schnapsbrennerei Spitaler" or in Hollenzen by the "Bruggerstube".
The Landing Site can be found either in Hippach or in Hollenzen by the "Bruggerstube", which is the main landing site in the area.
Important: Our tandem flights from Arbiskopf and Schwendberg are operated mostly between 9.00 und 14.00, the starting conditions are not so favourable later in the day. We can fly the whole day in Mayrhofen without any problems.
